Santa Cruz- Part 1:

We arrived at the venue about 5 or so hours before the show started. We saw that there little to no line at that point, my sister, my mother and myself, went to the Goodwill that was about two blocks away. My mom and I were checking out and my sister decided to go wait in the car. We have a red Volkswagen Carbio convertible, and the top was down, the convertibleness has a part to play. So my mom and I and walk up to the car to throw our things that we just bought it in. And my sister says so nonchalantly:
“Die was just standing on the corner over there and then he came by and walked by the car.”
My mom and I were like O___O!
It was just so funny that she said it like it was just an everyday thing XD. We thought she was joking. Then we were pissed because she didn’t say anything.
Anyways, the doors open, and my sister and myself were basically on the barrier on Die’s side. I was standing next to a cute Asian girl and her friends, and I’m pretty positive the people in front of us were Deftones fans. The show was amazing of course, set list unknown. I was angry that I didn’t know about the meet and greet with Kaoru until the next night.

Stockton-Part 2.

We got to the line pretty early, it was so hot! We all took turns waiting in line, doing coffee runs and such. I was wearing a black tank top and jeans, and I have short blondish hair, refer to icon. Who else was standing in line with me? I ask because there quite a few of us waiting in the hot Stockton heat. I thought we all behaved ourselves when Die walked by us with a female roadie XD. The doors finally opened to a long tedious security process. I was directly on the barrier on Die’s side again XD. I was standing next to two younger girls, one was wearing pink and the other had spiked up hair in the back, and I think it was there first Dir en Grey show. Another amazing show. And I’m so horrible at remembering songs they played XD. Toshiya did the meet and greet but I couldn’t go because I had to call my co-worker, I was trying to switch shifts with her so I could go to the San Francisco show XD.

San Francisco-Part 3.>

I had balcony seats for this one. I was on the far right side of the lower balcony right in front. We thought “lower lodge” meant the seating area that was there on the top most part of the floor. But it was nice, because we could actually sit and really absorb the last show, or what my sister and I thought the last show at the time. The played a similar set last to the past two shows. Disabled Complexes and Kyo waving his hips in his sexy dance XD. Toshiya jumped into the audience. And Die got so close to the audience people got to touch his shoe lol. Die did the meet and greet. He looked kind of nervous, but I swear when he smiles, it just lights up the universe. He signed my ticket stub, and all I could do is watch his eyes when he looked at me. It occurred to me how far I’d come. I’d come from 7 years ago saying “Oh my god, I can finally get the Child Prey music video to work on my crappy computer! There MOVING!11” too “Look, I’m actually looking at them in the face, and meeting them.” They just seem so far away for the longest time, and it connected in my brain that they are actually human. It was funny though, as Die looked me in the eye, he glanced down at my boobs for a second before looking at my face again XDD.

Reno Nevada-Part 4

So I went home after the San Francisco show ( I live 1 hour north of San Francisco, in Sonoma County) thinking that it was over. So the next night, my friend Cody, who didn’t get to go to any of the shows, were talking. And we started JOKING about going up to Reno to see them. But we started seriously talking about it, and how we could possibly actually go. So we went on-line, looked up a hotel, and looked up tickets. And we thought, are we that broke yet? So we booked a hotel, and bought tickets, and prepared to set off on that Thursday.

We left our hotel, and went to the Grand Sierra Resort. The line was outside in the blistering 109 degree+ weather. Fortunately, we got there about 15 minutes before they were going to let us go inside, but 15 minutes was long enough. I was wearing jeans and a red tank top with white hearts on it if anyone remembers me :D. They finally let us inside. I went out of line for a minute to go get a drink or something, and I was walking down the stairs back to the line, and I was looking at the people in line for the buffet. And there was Kaoru, wearing sunglasses waiting in line. I didn’t really want to stare at him, so I looked away, and right as I was parallel to him, I looked over, and there was Die standing there just staring at me. I was like O_O. He must have recognized me or something from the San Francisco show or something lol. I was to nervous to say anything or stop, but now I wish I did.

So the doors opened, and we were on Die’s side again. My sister was standing next to a girl with long blonde hair which was up, and she was wearing corset top. Great show again, but Kyo seemed a little off. He didn’t seem as into it as the other shows. Like for one he didn’t take his shirt off, and he did the other 3 times. I don’t know, maybe it was the heat, or maybe he was tired but who knows.

Shinya did the meet and greet, and he signed the same ticket stub that Die signed in San Francisco. Hes so cute when he says thank you :D

I calculated all the money we spent for all four trips, and the travel time and everything. But I didn’t post it here because I didn’t know if it was appropriate or not. But its in my journal at the end if you’d like to take a look.

We got there around 12 in the afternoon, the line was already pretty long. We sat on the wall in front of Taco Bell and KFC. My friends and I alternated shifts of waiting in line, and walking around Japan town. At one point in the later afternoon, my friend and Jessica and I walked in front of the tour bus and the open front doors. We heard some band warming up, and we stopped and listened for a minute. Then I heard Kyo’s voice and it finally hit me. I was finally seeing Dir en Grey, my favorite band of the past five years. My heart jumped into my throat, and my friend I starting spazing out.

Around 5:30ish we all were waiting in line waiting for the front doors to open up. It was cold and wet, but it didn’t matter to me. The front doors opened up and we all went inside, I tripped walking up the stairs, I was SO excited. My mom and my sister went to check in our coats and such, while myself and the rest of my friends proceeded into the auditorium. We made our way to the front on the far left, right in front of the speakers, right on the edge of the barrier. I was clinging to the very end of the barrier for the entire show. The lights dimmed and Bleed the Dream started. Not my type of music personally, I honestly thought they were pretty bad. They finished, and Fair to Midland started. I wasn’t really paying attention to them because I was starting at Die, who was in the very left balcony, watching the performance. He has the most beautiful smile. :D. Then Fair to Midland stopped playing, and the Dir en Grey techs started setting up. I was so excited I nearly hyperventilated. Then the opening song came on. We were all screaming and jumping and pumping our fists in the air, and then Shinya came on, wearing pants, I‘m not exactly sure which type, and a tight black tank top. Then Die came on, and headed to the far right of the stage. Kaoru and Toshiya came on basically at once. They started playing, and the crowd was surging, and screaming. Then Kyo came on wearing a black jacket, tight blue jeans, and black converse. Everyone screamed the loudest, and the music started. I almost began to cry.

I’m not exactly sure at all of the entire set list that they played. I know they played the Final, Obscure, Agitated Screams of Maggots, Grief, C, Clever Sleazoid, Sajou no Atu, Shokubeni and Mr. Newsman. It was weird, I knew the exact songs that they were playing, but I couldn’t put a name to majority of them. I guess my mind was so blank :D.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SHOW:

Kaoru, Die and Toshiya, all came out onto the speaker 3 feet or so in front of me. I got to touch Kaoru’s leg and shoe, he was wearing boots that laced up his leg. I banged on Die’s foot as he was throwing out his guitar picks, but I think he was wearing steel toes so I don’t think he felt it that much. Then during the show, Toshiya came out onto the speaker, and he squatted, or fell or something. All I know is the crowd surged forward, and I really just wanted to touch his leg or whatever, but, my hand ended up under his bass and onto his, um..pants. :D. I honestly thought I was dreaming. I can’t believe I actually groped a member of Dir en Grey XD.

At the end of the show, my friends ended up getting two of Toshiya’s picks. We’re going to frame one of the posters that they gave us at the end of the show, along with our tickets.

Hands down, best show I’ve ever been too. Dir en Grey, as a band, are all really on queue with each other. They just know exactly what there doing when there on stage. They were just so tight together as musicians. They were just very, professional almost. I can’t really describe what they were like, because they were just to amazing for words.

I REALLY REALLY hope they come back and I’m sure they will. This entire day I feel like last night I had a really obscure, surreal dream. It was just a mind blowing experience, and I really hope to experience it again.

I dropped all my classes because I can't handle stress.
And if I want to do school, I want to do it well. not 1/2 assed.
And I don't want to work less because I love my job and the people I work with.
So next semester I'm going to try again, but with classes that fit my career choice...which is nothing yet. :D.

Well, its time for an update. I haven't done so for like, a year..hahaha.

Bye-bye birdie was the best thing in thing in my life EVER. It was the most fun, I've seriously ever had. We put on a great production, and we filled our house almost every night, and our house can hold 600, which is good for a highschool play :D
I made alot of new friends. Everyone was so great, I really couldn't have had a better time.

Prom was fun, even though we stayed for like an hour tops. I love my dress. Two weeks before prom I looked everywhere for one. I was being really REALLY picky about it, so I knew I was never going to find one. So instead, my mom made one :D, and it was wonderful.

A week before prom, I decided I wanted my hair blonde again. So I bleached it once, and it turned out a copper/yellow/white situation. So the next day, I bleached it AGAIN. LIKE AN IDIOT. I rinsed it out, and when I started brushing it out, it starting FALLING OUT. I lost 1/2 my bangs, alot of other hair! So I had to chop it off, and I dyed it back black..I will NEVER bleach my hair ever again.

But hey on my last report card, I got 3.7. Which is awesome.
